At GumJoy, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your order, please review our Return & Refund Policy below.
This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made from GumJoy through our Shopify store.
Returns
Because GumJoy sells fresh fruit and other perishable food products, we generally do not accept returns once an order has been delivered. This is due to the perishable nature of the products and for hygiene and food safety reasons.
However, if your order arrives damaged, spoiled, incorrect, missing items, or not in acceptable condition, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery so we can review the issue and assist you.

When contacting us, please include:
- your order number;
- your full name;
- a description of the issue; and
- clear photos of the product and packaging, where applicable.
Eligibility for Refunds or Replacements
We may offer a refund, replacement, or store credit if:
- you received the wrong item;
- your order arrived damaged;
- your items arrived spoiled or unfit for consumption;
- items were missing from your order; or
- there was another issue caused by us or during delivery that makes the order unacceptable.
Any refund, replacement, or store credit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion, taking into account the nature of the issue and the evidence provided.
Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
We do not accept returns or provide refunds for:
- products that are perishable and have been delivered in good condition;
- products where you simply changed your mind after delivery;
- products that were not stored, handled, or consumed properly after delivery;
- products reported outside the required reporting period;
- items with natural variation in colour, size, ripeness, or appearance, where such variation is normal for fresh produce; or
- orders where the delivery issue was caused by incorrect shipping details provided by the customer.
Damaged, Incorrect, or Problem Orders
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If you believe there is a problem with your order, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
We may request photos, delivery details, and other information so that we can investigate the issue. Failure to report an issue within this timeframe may affect our ability to offer a refund or replacement.
Refunds
If your refund request is approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Please note:
- it may take several business days for your bank or payment provider to process and post the refund;
- shipping fees may not be refunded unless the issue was due to our error or a confirmed delivery problem; and
- if only part of the order is affected, we may issue a partial refund rather than a full refund.
Replacements
Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement instead of a refund. Replacement availability will depend on product availability, delivery area, and timing.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Because we prepare fresh and perishable products quickly, we cannot guarantee that cancellation requests can be accepted once order preparation or dispatch has begun.
If your order has already been prepared, processed, or dispatched, we may be unable to cancel it or issue a refund.
Incorrect Delivery Information
Please make sure that your delivery details are correct before completing your order. GumJoy is not responsible for failed deliveries, delays, or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer.
Refusal of Refunds
We reserve the right to refuse a refund, replacement, or return request where:
- the request does not comply with this policy;
- insufficient evidence is provided;
- the issue was caused by customer handling, storage, or misuse after delivery; or
- we reasonably believe the request is abusive, fraudulent, or made in bad faith.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy affects your legal rights under applicable consumer protection laws. If you are entitled to a remedy under law, those rights will still apply.
